Schecter/Issacson Solar House – Lincoln, MA.   In conjunction with Raytheon and Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co. an active hot water system with high performance collectors and monitored hot water storage in basement.  An early application – working well and producing heat and air conditioning.

Sava Residence, Waterville Valley, New Hampshire, P.P.G.  High performance collectors with 1 kw wind power generator by “windcharger” Sioux City, Iowa and and Surrette Storage Batt____, North Hampton, N.H.  Cell replacement type, inverter and D.C. lighting for emergency conditions.  

Solar House for Michael and Mary Jane Pease, Greeley Hill, Waterville Valley, N.H. – 400 s.f. of active hot air collectors into a lower level rock storage area approx. 6’ x 6’ x 8’ high – made of insulated concrete block wood stove flues were made of stainless steel and were routed through rock storage area for additional heat to the storage medium.  

Recent House Design for Colin and Deborah Hatchard, Southern Blvd., Plum Island, Newbury, MA.  1,800 s.f. home using photo-voltaic panels, wind power, recycled materials for construction and a green roof.  Construction to begin in the spring of 2007.

Sustainable Design for Equine Facilities.  A master plan and building/barn design for the University of New Hampshire.

Towle Silver Building, 260 Merrimac Street, Newburyport, MA. Extensive studies for the adaptive re-use of The Towle Silver Building into housing (rental and condo studies)

Johnson Street Condominiums, Newburyport, MA. John Sava, in partnership with McCraine Building Co., developed four condominiums. The project involved site assembly, project design and construction. Marketing occurred in 1988 during poor market conditions. Nevertheless, the project was completed in 1988 and sold out.

Proposal with Zampell Properties, Beverly, MA. The United Shoe Manufacturing Co. Recycling of existing facility into residential units, office park, retail space and 60-slip marina. (Proposal)

Point of Pines, Revere, MA. Housing study. 24 unit condominium and marina. Design included 4 different 2 bedroom configurations all with master views. Steel frame parking structure (Proposal)

Point of Pines, 65 unit condominium and parking garage, 1989. Medium range masonry building with 1,200 to 1,350 s.f. units.  Decks and views to the Atlantic large atrium.

24 Charter and Fair Street. Condominium conversion. Convert existing 5 unit apartment house to five new high end condominiums. Steve Boulter client. 2005.

One North Shore Road, 65 unit luxury condominium complex, Revere, MA. Programing, schematic design, and approval process completed. Zoning variances, conservation commission approvals, waterways, and Chapter 91 licensing. 2004-2005. Jay Esfimos client.

Orange and Fair Street, condominium conversion. Existing 15 unit apartment house converted to 5 condominiums completed in 2003, sold out. N.F. Wood client.

The Heights at Cape Ann, Gloucester, MA. A Two hundred and sixty unit rental complex. Renovation and upgrading of units and site plan. 1994. 95% occupancy presently. We were responsible for all facets of design, landscaping, and master plan through interior design.

Waterville Valley Bunkhouse, Waterville Valley, N.H. A 200 bed ski dorm with full restaurant, ski preparation area, convention area, 1978. Mr. Sava was the developer and architect of this project.
